Bay Resistance is a powerful organization preparing to defend our communities, our movements, and our planet. The mission of Bay Resistance is to advance racial, economic, climate, and gender justice by activating individuals and families to build a just world for all of us.
Some of us are targeted by Trump and his hateful policies. Many of us are immigrant, Muslim, South Asian, Black, Jewish, women, workers, queer, seniors & people with disabilities. All of us commit to loving, defending, and standing up for each other.
We are a movement of people reimagining community safety in Richmond. We believe in a system of care that is rooted in us, not criminalization and policing. Through organizing, researching, and educating, we fight for a future where everybody can truly feel safe.
We are Richmond Area Mutual Aid, a group of neighbors from different Richmond neighborhoods committed to building solidarity, resilience, and safety for our community.

Events calendar. Find action items (protests, meetings, etc.) on our Events calendar. The most significant regularly scheduled events we have are our monthly All Members Meetings (AMMs). These typically occur on the last Sunday of the month — alternating between virtual (Zoom) and in-person.

Rich City Rays is a non-violent direct action grassroots organization dedicated to climate justice. In an ever-changing environment, unprecedented levels of ecological devastation call upon us to connect within our local water communities through "kayaktivism". As "kayak-tivists" we bridge together the fundamentals of activism with the logistics of kayaking, ultimately harnessing boats as vessels of action and change.
Started in January, 2017, Rise Up To Action organizes and connects our members with actions and activities to confront the dangerous and frightening times in which we live. We believe that activism is more satisfying and sustainable when we do it together, and we manifest that in our work. We are Bay Area based with a focus on national and then local politics through postcard campaigns (we’ve sent over a half million postcards to date), phone banking, canvassing, texting, and registering voters. We work in coalition with frontline organizations on immigration support and mutual aid, on strategies to take control of Congress and the White House, and on the most effective responses to assaults on our communities and our constitution.
